Miss E ~Western Oregon Family Photographer~

I finally have a few shots to post from my session on Saturday. I am a little behind on my editing, but certainly trying to catch up! I met with this family on Saturday and we drove a short distance to an old homestead. Its now grown over with grass and wildflowers (Yes, Dan, flowers...not weeds!) :) My neighbor is gracious enough to allow me to use this wonderful property! I only have a few pictures to post, but I have really been wanting to get them on here!

I love her expression here...

Fix It Friday Week 13 @ I ♥ Faces

Fix it Friday again...yay!
This week we are fixing the following picture....the first thing I noticed was the bright background and underexposed subject. I thought of using PW's action to "dim the lights" and it worked beautifully. My edits are below...I tried not to do a bunch this week, but as I have said before, once I get started, I just don't want to stop! :)

ORIGINAL

Cropped, dimmed the lights and then lightened the girl, then ran "Lovely and Ethereal"

Rotated, cropped, dimmed the background, lightened the girl and ran 70's Action

Same as above, but converted to black and white.

Same as above, but layered the black and white over the color, then used a layer mask to remove the b&w from the tulips.

A New Favorite

For years my favorite flower was a lilac. I especially liked the dark purple ones. (And I still love them, especially how frangrant they are.) Then I fell in love with hydrangeas. Mainly the paper white or green ones, but I also loved the blue. (Basically any but the pink kind!) And I do still really like those as well.

Well, I have found a new favorite! The layers of petals on these blooms have captivated me. They are absolutely gorgeous! What is it?? It's called a Rannuculas. (I love the crazy name almost as much as the beautiful bloom. What can I say, I am easily entertained!)

Creativity

I have been playing with some photos lately...learning more about photoshop and such. (I don't think you can EVER know everything there is to know about it!) I am going to print this up and hang it on my wall...maybe I'll use it for a Christmas present, who knows! But I had a lot of fun making it and I can hardly wait to try another one! (it is showing up a little distorted somehow, if you click on it you can see the original image.)

~Wedding Post~ All About Details

Just a few shots....I am still working on the photo transfer. I took the images in RAW format to create the highest image quality possible. This was quite a whirlwind wedding, as the photographer and family member, it seemed to be over in the blink of an eye. (And 1200+ pictures later! I took around 700images and had an assistant that took the rest.)
I wanted to make sure to mention that some of the pictures from this wedding were taken by Charis Draper.
