Welcome

I am a natural light photographer, specializing in Seniors, Individuals and Engagement Sessions. I love to capture the special memories that will be cherished by your family for years to come. Capturing real life as a portrait is what I love to do. Real. Life. Portraiture.

Esperanza's Senior Pictures (A sneak peak!)

I had a really good time with Esperanza and her mom on Weds. We found some new locations to shoot while downtown. And Esperanza is just so cute! :) She did great at finding poses that worked and somehow she could read my mind and pose herself before I told her what I wanted. (One of my favorite pictures in this set so far is one that she pretty much posed herself! It's the first one below!) So here are just a few to enjoy while I continuing editing!

Just about finished

Well, I think I am almost done with Nicole's pictures....a few more to go and just in time! I have my next session this afternoon.

I will leave you with just a few of my favorites!

A Few More Pictures of Nicole

Senior Pictures with Nicole

What a great day for shooting....it was overcast just enough to give us some great light. (But I did miss the blue sky!) I met with Nicole and her mom yesterday afternoon and we had a great time.

I am working on the rest of the pictures this week, but here are a few....nearly every shot I took was useable (as in, not blinking, good smiles, great body language) which makes it hard to decide which ones are the best pictures!

Nicole is outgoing and playful. She was ready to have fun and try silly things...she came up with most of her own poses too! Her mom was great to have along because she had a good eye for catching things out of place.
I love this next shot...it is so natural and captured at a fun time. It reminds me of something but I have not quite decided what yet! :) I will have to post again if I can think of it.

Some more senior picures...

I don't normally mess with coloring on the pictures, usually the editing I do is a quick crop, straighten or black and white (or sepia). But I have discovered a new method for black and whites. If you notice some pictures where the color is just barely peaking through...that is my newest trick. I think it is a cool effect and if someone else likes it, then I will give that effect to your pictures. So, that is why you may see some duplicates in this post. (Some have doubles from today, some are doubles from yesterdays post.)

The picture above seems like a perfect example of a "classic" look. Something about the color combination, the look on her face and the pose just really pulls at me! It is one of my favorites!
