Windy Day

More Images from Holiday Mini Sessions
I have been crazy busy this week, there is so much happening!! I wanted to get a few more pictures up from last Saturday before my next session today. I can't wait to post what I have been doing this week...and it will happen soon!!! I promise!

Finished Willamette Valley, Oregon Engagement Photographer
I just finished up the engagment photos from last week. I enjoyed editing these a lot...there were so many great shots though, it was hard to choose my favorites. I put together this collage just for fun so I could post more than a few pictures.

Engagement Session

Engagement sessions are my absolute favorite! And the most recent one with Crystal and Austin was no exception. The only downside to the sessions is when it comes to editing. Almost every picture is just perfect, I don't know how to pick a favorite! I am only about 1/3 of the way through so far, but thought I would post a few that I like. I may have to do a couple more posts, or maybe I'll make a collage of my favorites when I get done. We'll see!

Crystal and Austin ~Sneak Peak~ Willamette Valley, Oregon Engagement Photographer
I had such a fun time with Austin and Crystal today, shooting some engagement pictures! Austin is on leave from Iraq and I felt privilaged to share a few hours of their time together with them. I just had to post one shot I got...absolutely love it. The focus worked out perfectly, the lighting, the kiss, everything is just perfect! The two of them were sitting on the rocks and I was sneaking in from the other side of the water and captured this picture between some reeds. (click on the picture to view it larger)

We got so many great shots, I can't wait to go through all of them! I'll post some more tomorrow afternoon!

Engagement Session with Alyssa and Matt
Wow, I don't even know where to begin! I took so many shots that I am having trouble sorting through them! Fortunately a lot are just a duplicate since I tend to click off 3 pictures in a row to make sure I don't get any closed eyes! (Or yawns for that matter!) :)
So, here are just two that I really like so far....I know there are a ton more (especially on the swing...those turned out really great!)

I am looking forward to an engagement session this afternoon...and I have another one planned for later in the week. I think it is a lot of fun to shoot pictures of couples. They have such natural poses and you can try lots of fun shots! So, hopefully tomorrow or the next day I'll have some shots to post here.
I am constantly amazed at the amount of information available on the web! I have been reading photography sites like they are going out of style! Anything you could ever want to know (and plenty that you didn't!) is available to teach and inspire. If you have ever wondered how photographers take their shots, just type it in and you are almost sure to find it!
One thing that I have been trying to work on is using the shutter speed to change the look of my shot. I am not quite where I want to be, but I am learning new tricks almost every day.

Sarah and Nathan (Engagment)
Their wedding is coming up in August and I am excited to photograph them again, they were so easy to film, as are most couples who are in love. Everything is just natural.
