Welcome

I am a natural light photographer, specializing in Seniors, Individuals and Engagement Sessions. I love to capture the special memories that will be cherished by your family for years to come. Capturing real life as a portrait is what I love to do. Real. Life. Portraiture.

My beautiful cousin and her cute son...

I got to take pictures of my baby cousin last week. I can't believe that her son is 12! Isn't he just adorable?

It was good to see her and so fun to take some portraits of the two of them.

Ethan has totally grown up and I can't believe he is 12! Seriously Rachel, when did that happen?

Anyway, they were both perfect models for me and gave me some gorgeous shots! I love all of them so far and can't wait to keep editing some more!

Busy, busy, busy.....

Wow, I am behind. I always hate to be behind..... :) But its a good feeling to get caught up. *At least I think it will be!* I am only one session behind now and its just 1 week old, so I am feeling pretty good.

Our family has been helping our friends get ready to move to Brazil. Its a weird feeling, knowing that helping them is getting them closer to leaving us! Its a good thing, yet sad too. Their family of 5 (soon to be 6!) has become important to my family of 5. Each of my kids has a close friend in their kids. Its going to be hard to let them go, even though we know they are doing what God has called them to!

Okay, enough about that for now...too sad! :) I wanted to post a few more pictures of Meg and her boys from last week. They are all so sweet. Megan is a nursing student, well not anymore, she is graduating!! Congrats!! I loved getting the chance to spend some time with her and her boys. We met in downtown Albany. I love the urban settings! They were fun to shoot and we got some great pictures too!

What a Studious Girl

This sweetie and her mama met me at the Library last week and we had so much fun. What a fun location to shoot at. Books, books and more books...and that could not have made this little girl much happier!

10 Months~Miss M~

I recently have been inspired by another photographer to work on my monochrome images. I keep seeing her sepia toned pictures and I am so impressed with them! Anyway, apparently I found something I like, as I keep wanting to edit all my pictures in monochrome. Fortunately, my sweet monthly session was a great one to work on. She is just adorable and has the best eyes! I'll have to post some color images later, her outfit is so cute in full color!

Classic Beauty

Chelsea is a girl that is just classic. Her looks, and smirks and movements...everything about her just screams beauty and grace. All of her images are amazing...

Leanna Class of 2010~ Milwaukie High School

We took our chances on Friday for this session and with a gorgeous morning and afternoon I thought we had it made, but not 20 minutes into the session it started raining on us! That made things interesting for sure! But we still got some great shots! (Check out the raindrops on the water...) Leanna was fun to shoot, and ready to try any pose. She is a natural in front of the camera even when she wasn't sure what to do. And she has gorgeous big brown eyes! I loved working with her. Thanks for being so patient Leanna, I know you have been waiting to see some images from your session!

Still more to come...

So stinkin hard to choose a favorite...

Don't you hate it when people are so cute?!

How is it possible that nearly every image I have come across from my senior session on Saturday becomes my new favorite?! You know those people that pull off any look, any outfit, or anything they try, well I met one on Saturday. Corrinda is part of the dance team at South Albany High School and I talked her into doing something for the camera....she did it so gracefully and looked gorgeous all the while. So, Corrinda, you are now added to my list as one of those people that just make me sick! And I mean that in the nicest way possible! ;)

I love senior pictures with mom too....and this one is so sweet!

And lastly I have to give props to Corrinda's friend Courtney. She has got an eye for photography...she suggested using the curb in a shot while we were working on the train tracks and when we got to it I could immediately see a great image. So nice work Courtney! It turned out great, and again Corrinda totally worked the camera. I love it!

Busy-ness

Wow, the soccer season is here and we are in full swing! All three of our girls are playing this year, on three different teams! It has been fun, but a bit crazy over the past few weeks. On top of that we had a group of guys from our church come help us put a new roof on our house, and if that wasn't enough I picked up some free paint, borrowed my dads paint sprayer and have been painting the exterior of our house! So...I have been keeping quite busy. I have a fun senior session coming up and I am excited to get back to my photography after all the distractions lately! That isn't to say I haven't been taking pictures though...
