~Kayla~ Class of 2011

Part Weather Girl

When the weather starts turn so do I. Instead of just being a photographer, I turn into a part time weather girl. I am constantly watching the forecast updates as well as the sky to see what it looks like. I'll ask, "Is there any way I can squeeze this session in before it starts to rain again?"

Thats how Nick's session took place! In between rain showers. But we really managed to get a great session for him without even getting rained on. He was a lot of fun to take pictures of because he had a lot of creative ideas already that we could work with. And his mom made a great assistant, holding the light diffuser as well as a huge pile of hats! :) I think they turned out pretty great!

Taylor~ Class of 2011

I have known Taylor since she was 11 or 12 and I am so honored to be able to take her senior portraits! I have been blessed to spend lots of time with Taylor. She has babysat for my kids, been part of the youth group that my husband and I helped with and we even traveled to Mexico together! (Those pictures are here, here and here.) I am amazed by the beauty and strength that a girl her age can poses! I looked up the meaning of Taylor and found this, "tailor; to make, alter, or adapt for a particular end or purpose" I don't think you can describe Taylor much better than that. She is altering her life, adapting her choices for a particular end or purpose...that of serving God. Pretty cool for a young woman!I had a really hard time picking out which pictures to use...so I just created this slideshow of lots of them instead.

If I had a "dream car"...

If I had a dream car....this just might be it! Just gorgeous huh?!! A friend from church let us use her beautiful yard for some pictures and just mentioned that she had a "fun" car that we might like to use too! So she pulled it out onto the road for us and let us pretend for a little while. Wow!!

Beautiful!

I met with Rachel and her mom last week for some senior pictures. You might remember Rachel's cousin from a previous session. Rachel was just as beautiful to photograph. She knows all the right moves and has great poses without much prompting from me. So without further ado...here are a few from her session....they are beautiful!

South Albany High School Senior

I had the chance to meet with Ken today for some senior pictures. He is a basketball player and yes, he is tall. I think he said 6'5 to be exact.

I just had to put these two shots on today.

I knew as I was leaving the session that we had gotten some awesome images. Ken was easy to work with....and has such a great serious look. Basketball or maybe modeling, either way

Laughing Out Loud

Thats what I spent most of the senior session I had on Saturday doing...laughing. A lot!! Corey was a total crack-up. He has the entire entourage laughing all afternoon. We had a lot of fun (at least I did!) and got some great shots. The weather was absolutely beautiful. I have no idea what was so funny at this point, but I love this picture. From the few hours I spent with Corey, this seems to depict him pretty well!
