Part Weather Girl

When the weather starts turn so do I. Instead of just being a photographer, I turn into a part time weather girl. I am constantly watching the forecast updates as well as the sky to see what it looks like. I'll ask, "Is there any way I can squeeze this session in before it starts to rain again?"

Thats how Nick's session took place! In between rain showers. But we really managed to get a great session for him without even getting rained on. He was a lot of fun to take pictures of because he had a lot of creative ideas already that we could work with. And his mom made a great assistant, holding the light diffuser as well as a huge pile of hats! :) I think they turned out pretty great!

6 Month Old Cutie

I have been wanting to post this cutie pie for a while...isn't he adorable. I was loving him in black and whites when I made this little collage. I think he is a pretty sweet kid.

Party of 4?

I love this family!

Our family has known Zach and Holly for about 5 years. I got to take pictures of their adorable son right after he came home. (See those pictures!) And they are pictured on my business card too!

Anyway, their family has grown and they are just getting cuter!

Every single shot I took of these kiddos was adorable...and their parents can't take a bad picture either! :)

Stutzman Family

I got to meet with a sweet family last weekend...there were three kids and not one of them threw a fit! ;) We got some really cute pictures of mom and dad...as well as the kids. Although they claimed to be a somewhat serious family, I think they have fun together and we were able to get some fun poses!

Sweet Little Miss

This sweet little girl is so much fun! I had such a good time getting down on her level. Its always fun to capture a few shots while a little one is just being themselves.

The sun was so gorgeous! And gave this little sweetheart gorgeous color!

She loves beads and I handed her my necklace to play with for awhile.

2+1=Family

This was the first time I used this covered bridge for a session and I loved it! The lighting under the bridge was just amazing! I got to meet with Dan and Kerri and their little girl again last week. (Boy has she grown up.) She is such a cutie and she certainly knows just what she wants! I can't wait to post a few more pictures from the end of the session. We got some great action/play shots while she was entertaining herself with my necklace.

Taking a Chance....

Wow....could I get any cornier? Oh wait, you don't know that! Well lets just say that my title to this post is a play on this families name. I met with Dani and her family last week to take some portraits of them. I think they all turned out pretty sweet. It was hard to choose my favorites and the only thing that helped me was the fact that the overcast sky was so bright that day that I had to pull out the pictures with squint-y eyes. My beautiful cousin and her cute son...

I got to take pictures of my baby cousin last week. I can't believe that her son is 12! Isn't he just adorable?

It was good to see her and so fun to take some portraits of the two of them.

Ethan has totally grown up and I can't believe he is 12! Seriously Rachel, when did that happen?

Anyway, they were both perfect models for me and gave me some gorgeous shots! I love all of them so far and can't wait to keep editing some more!

Family Session ~Oregon Family Photographer~

I had lots of fun with Erika and her kidlets last Friday...it's always fun when I get to bring my own kids along and since they are friends they got to come along. They loved to run around and explore the field while we were taking pictures.
Erika is such a sweet mom, person and friend. She is the type of person who makes you think "her life is perfect!" but I think what makes her so sweet is that she would be the first one to tell you she isn't! It isn't any wonder that her kids are just as sweet as she is. This photo session was a father's day surprise for her husband (who was out of the country on a mission trip to Uganda). I just love this family and I really enjoyed shooting them! (I just love saying that!)
